Welcome!

Well, here it goes. I’ve been telling people for a long time that I was going to do this blog, and for a long time I’ve done absolutely nothing about it. Which is sad, really, because I have a love of writing and a love of food. Why wouldn’t I do a blog about food? Well, the answers to this question will remain unanswered for the simple reason that the answers don’t matter. What matters is that this blog is up and it’s running. Why dwell on the past when the present and the future are so much tastier?

OK. Before I go on, here are a couple more thoughts. As I go through this blog, I want to keep this as interactive as I can. With that thought in mind, in addition to my own musings on the subject of food, I encourage those who come upon this site to add their own spice to the sauce by commenting. I also hope to add polls and a future (weekly?) feature that I am tentatively calling “Where do I go?,” in which prospective diners without a clue of where to go out can seek suggestions from the site. Once I’ve fine-tuned how to get that idea working, I will introduce it with much fanfare. Feel free to add a widget to your site (I have no idea how this works or what it means), or sign up for email updates from the site to be posted directly to your inbox.
